Zoe Parker, the College’s Education Officer gives a rundown on the new Learning Zone at the COT site. Follow Zoe on Twitter.
The Learning Zone has a new look and new content to support your CPD. We are a year away from the next HCPC audit and this is a great time to take stock of how your CPD meets the HCPC standards for CPD, be prepared and feel well on the way to submitting an exemplary profile if you are chosen.
One highlight of #COT2016 was Wendy Bryant’s Casson Memorial lecture and we’ve designed a resource you can use to host a critical film night. You’ll find it under the new button called “Toolkit for self-directed learning”.
New to the Learning Zone are four fun Taster Menus comprising links to resources on the COT website to support your evidence -informed practice, research activities and ‘smart’ data collection/use of outcomes. You can find them on the button called “Exploring the rest of the website for your CPD”.
We’re trying out a new kind of resource and we’ve developed our hour-long CPD sessions into a bigger resource that takes a bit longer and so covers a bit more ground. We’re seeking feedback on what members think of these and how we can improve them and our first one is about occupational therapy and Motor Neurone Disease so please check it out and let us know.
We’re hoping to develop the Learning Zone collaboratively with our members so please do visit it, use it to support your CPD, and let us know what you think. If you have any ideas for content that you’d like to suggest or recommend to us: please do let us know.
